Ky-Mani was born on February 26, 1976, at Falmouth Jamaica. He is one the richest and most popular Reggae artists. In the cult film of the same name Shottas the actor starred alongside Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed to Shang Records and recorded his debut album in 1996, like Father Like Son. This was followed by several singles like Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae Charts. Who The Cap was a perfect fit (remix), and Sensimelia. They all helped to establish Ky-Mani's status as a brand new reggae singer. Ky-Mani, along with Praswell along with Praswell and Fugees (as part of Avenue), a popular cover version of Eddy Grant called Electric Avenue was released in the year 1997.
